Yes. Florida joined the Nurse Licensure Compact in 2018, and the APRN application accepts a valid RN license from any US jurisdiction, so a multistate RN covers the base with no Florida RN fees. The APRN license itself is always Florida-issued.
In primary care, yes, with a separate autonomous registration: 3,000 supervised clinical hours in the past five years plus graduate coursework in differential diagnosis and pharmacology. Registered autonomous NPs practice family medicine, general pediatrics, or general internal medicine without a supervisory protocol. Everyone else practices under one.
Not necessarily: Florida law lets out-of-state providers register to treat Florida patients by telehealth without a Florida license, though registrants can’t open a Florida office or see patients in person there. A full license is the path when your work includes in-person care, hybrid roles, or autonomous-practice registration.
